The hit live roleplaying panel returns – and this time, it’s in space! Four spec fic authors will take the lead roles in an epic space opera created before your eyes, then talk about what makes their characters tick, and how they shaped the fictional universe around them.
Hosted by Ben McKenzie, with authors C. S. Pacat, Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff and Andrew McDonald, and featuring live music from Anna You and friends.
This event is presented as part of the Speculate, the Victorian speculative fiction writers festival. The cheapest way to see it is to buy a “Saturday PM pass”, which is $59 full price, or $55 concession, and also includes access to two other panels. If you’re interested in the full program, consider buying an early bird pass to either Friday, Saturday or the whole festival, available from February 1 to February 11.
As part of the one-day Speculate speculative fiction festival, Ben moderates this fun panel!
Memorable characters are usually at the top of the list when people talk about good writing. Using the medium of roleplaying, we throw a panel of authors into an interactive story and explore what makes these characters tick. Part live theatre, part comedy – you won’t want to miss it!
Amie Kaufman, Jay Kristoff, Andrew McDonald, and Brooke Maggs. Moderated by Ben McKenzie, with music arranged and performed by Maize Wallin and sound design by Karl Fee.
To attend this session, you’ll need either a Full-Day or Afternoon pass to the festival; see the Speculate web site for details.
