Ben McKenzie in suit and tie, performing in front of a green screen to cameraBen has worked extensively as a narrator and presenter of educational video programs, primarily with ClickView Australia, for whom he has taught audiences about topics as diverse as atomic theory, viking history and Animal Farm.

In February 2023 he’ll be one of the first presenters for series one of Story Tools, the new creative writing video program from Story Box Library.

Ben also facilitates live workshops and presentations to primary and secondary students in and out of schools with 100 Story Building, WestSide Circus and SEED Workshops, and also runs games workshops for adults, children and young people.

Ben has also been an MC, panellist and chair for a variety of events and festivals, including the Melbourne Writers Festival, Brisbane Writers Festival, Emerging Writers Festival and National Science Week.

Ben’s work as a comedian, actor and improvisor enable him to engage with audiences of all sizes and age groups about any topic from the light-hearted (like summarising A Brief History of Time in 15 minutes) to the very serious (self esteem, stress and respectful relationships for teenage boys with SEED Workshops).
